The field of sustainable power generation from renewable energy sources with feasible, viable, and efficient quality-solutions for the current and forthcoming consumption needs in the Gulf region, such as concerning desalination and treatment, is currently the focal point of Robert Flaechsig. He is dedicated to facilitating strategic investments which enable knowledge transfer, support scientific collaboration, and foster industrial growth for job creation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He is the Senior Advisor Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for APRICUM-The CleanTech Advisory in Germany and an Appointed Member to WG 1/ 2/ 4/ 5/ of a EU-GCC Clean Energy Initiative in Belgium. He is a Board Member at DESERTEC Power, DESERTEC Foundation, and DME-The German Desalination Industry Association. He is also holding a full-time position as Economic Advisor to a public sector institution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Robert Flaechsig has an academic background in business administration, economics, and political science with graduate and executive studies at Free University Berlin and Harvard University Kennedy School of Government. He’s been involved in industrial investment organization and facilitation in Germany, USA and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for over 10 years.
