Dr. Khaled AbuZeid

Dr. Khaled AbuZeid carries a B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, USA.  He is currently the Regional Water Resources Program Manager at CEDARE (Centre for Environment & Development for the Arab Region & Europe).   He is member of the Governing Board and Director of Technical Programs at the Arab Water Council (AWC).  He is Officer in Charge of the Technical Secretariat for North Africa for the African Ministerial Council on Water (AMCOW).  He is the Secretary General of the Egyptian Water Partnership (EWP).  He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of California, USA, and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI).  He is member of the Arab-German Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Masters of Science Program Advisory Board, member of the Sanitation & Water for All (SWA) Steering Committee, member of the technical support team  for the European Union Water Initiative (EU WI) Mediterranean Component, member of the Advisory Committee of the 2030 Arab Water Strategy, member of the Experts’ Group of the Mediterranean Water Strategy, and member of the Consultative Group for the preparation of the Arab Shared Water Resources Convention.
