Dr. Abdul-Sattar Nizami

Dr. Abdul-Sattar Nizami has a PhD in green grass: developing grass for sustainable gaseous biofuel (2008-2011) from University College Cork, Ireland. He has Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Dept. of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry and Civil & Environmental Engineering of University of Toronto, Canada.

He has published 50+ papers in the area of biofuels and bioenergy. His work has been cited over 800 times in the peer review press. His individual impact factor is above 100. He is the reviewer of high impact journals like Biotechnology for biofuels, Biofuels, bioproducts and biorefineries, Bioresource technology, Energy, Bioprocess and biosystems engineering and International journal of life cycle assessment.

He was also the reviewer, guest editor and invited speaker for many national and international conferences and scientific forums. He has completed many national and international research projects as PI. Currently, he is servin as an Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator at the Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies (CEES) of King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah.

His solid waste research group is working on various waste to energy and value added products technologies such as anaerobic digestion (AD), pyrolysis, transesterification, RDF, algae fuel and composting.
