The Saudi Society for Environmental Science (SSENS)

The Saudi Society for environmental science (SSENS) is one of the scientific, non-profit societies that were established in 2006 in King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with a mission of Spreading environmental awareness in the society, upgrading environmental education, facing environmental problems, self-sustainability and equitability in the distribution of resources and opportunities. The board of SSENS constituted of nine members (the President included), elected by the General Assembly of SSENS for a three -year mandate. The Society's membership currently has more than 1000 members and volunteers of scientists and researchers in the fields of environmental sciences.
